Rank On Top is a diagnostic tool. It can expose evidence and suggest priorities, but it cannot guarantee rankings, traffic, indexation, accessibility compliance, or a specific business result.

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of the Rank On Top browser extension, the website at www.rankon.top, and related features we make available. By installing, accessing, or using Rank On Top, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.

If you use Rank On Top for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.

2. What Rank On Top provides

Rank On Top is a browser-based SEO inspection and diagnostic tool. Its features may include rendered-page audits, local scores, code evidence, previews, accessibility observations, performance observations, network checks, site crawling, report exports, image tools, AI discovery checks, and optional read-only Google Search Console data.

Most processing occurs locally in your browser. Certain features make direct requests to a website you select or to official Google services, as described in our privacy policy. Feature availability can differ by browser, browser version, page security policy, website behavior, or distribution channel.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to use Rank On Top lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you agree to:

  • audit, crawl, inspect, or request data only for websites and accounts you own or are authorized to access;
  • respect website terms, robots rules, rate limits, intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, and applicable laws;
  • review findings and backups before changing a production website;
  • protect your browser profile, device, Google account, and exported reports;
  • avoid placing secrets or sensitive personal data in user-supplied keyword fields or exports; and
  • keep your copy of the extension and browser reasonably up to date.

You must not use Rank On Top to:

  • gain unauthorized access to a website, account, device, or network;
  • evade access controls, security measures, rate limits, or service restrictions;
  • perform abusive, disruptive, deceptive, or unlawful crawling or requests;
  • introduce malicious code or interfere with the extension or another service;
  • misrepresent an audit, score, export, or Search Console result; or
  • violate another person's rights or applicable law.

4. Optional Google features

If you connect Google Search Console, you authorize Rank On Top to use the read-only permission shown in the Google consent screen. The extension uses that permission to retrieve Search Console properties, performance reports, sitemaps, and URL inspection results that you request. Rank On Top cannot use that scope to modify your Search Console properties.

Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's terms, policies, quotas, and availability. You are responsible for maintaining the rights needed to access each property and URL. You can disconnect Google, clear local report data, or revoke access through your Google Account at any time.

Google may change its APIs, authentication requirements, quotas, or user interfaces. Those changes can temporarily or permanently affect related Rank On Top features.

5. Scores, suggestions, and exports

Audit scores, findings, previews, graphs, performance observations, accessibility observations, keyword analysis, and suggestions are informational. They are generated from the evidence available to the browser at a particular time and can be incomplete, delayed, or affected by personalization, experiments, authentication, geography, device conditions, script timing, blocked resources, and website changes.

Search engines and browsers change their systems independently. Passing a check does not guarantee crawling, indexing, rich results, rankings, traffic, conversions, accessibility conformance, performance outcomes, or compliance with any law or standard. A low score does not necessarily mean a page cannot perform well.

You are responsible for interpreting the evidence, testing changes, and deciding what to publish. Rank On Top is not a substitute for legal, security, accessibility, financial, or other professional advice.

Exports are created for your use and saved where you choose. You are responsible for their accuracy, distribution, confidentiality, retention, and lawful use.

6. License and ownership

Subject to these terms and any license notice distributed with the extension, Rank On Top grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the extension for lawful personal or internal business purposes.

Rank On Top and its original software, design, branding, documentation, and website content are owned by their respective rights holders and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You retain rights in your websites, audit inputs, user-supplied keywords, local crawl data, and exports. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process and export third-party content encountered during an audit.

7. Third-party websites and services

Rank On Top can inspect or link to third-party websites and can interoperate with browser stores and Google services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, security, availability, accuracy, or data practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

References to Google, Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, search engines, social platforms, or structured-data features describe compatibility or audit targets. They do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, certification, or partnership unless explicitly stated.

8. Availability, updates, and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features to improve the service, address security or policy requirements, follow browser changes, or maintain compatibility. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or that the service will be error-free.

Browser stores may distribute updates automatically and may apply their own review, availability, refund, and account rules. You may stop using Rank On Top at any time by removing the extension.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rank On Top is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security.

We do not warrant that the service will identify every issue, that any suggestion is appropriate for your site, that third-party data is complete, or that using the service will produce a particular search, accessibility, performance, or business outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rank On Top and its operator, contributors, suppliers, and distributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, traffic, rankings, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the service.

This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, or another theory, and even if the possibility of loss was known. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

11. Suspension and ending use

You may end this agreement at any time by stopping use and removing the extension. We may suspend distribution, support, or access to a feature if reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, platform policy, maintenance, or a material breach of these terms.

Sections that by their nature should continue after use ends, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and general terms, will survive.

12. General terms and contact

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent where consent is legally required.

Applicable law governs these terms without overriding mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply in your place of residence. Before starting a formal claim, you agree to contact us and make a reasonable attempt to resolve the issue informally, except where applicable law gives you an immediate right to proceed.

We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The revised effective date will appear at the top. Continuing to use Rank On Top after revised terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law.

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@rankon.top.
